Kitty 2, the new electric trip boat, has launched

Kitty 2, the Basingstoke Canal Society’s new electric trip boat, has launched.

She replaces Kitty, the old diesel trip boat based at Town Wharf, Woking. The society set out to build a boat that more people could use: Kitty 2 takes 12 passengers and has wheelchair access, a toilet and a kitchenette. Her mooring is at Town Wharf, Brewery Road.

More than 700 people backed the society’s bid to Your Fund Surrey for part of the funding.
